Viralkey's background remover cuts the main subject onto a true transparent background. You upload one still and get a PNG-style cutout with no new scene and no solid-color fill. It is not a generative backdrop swap and it is not the same engine as the Image Enhancer pages. Use it when you need the person or the product on alpha, ready to drop onto a thumbnail, a slide, or a listing tile.

Transparent. The after should show checkerboard or whatever you composite next, not a baked white, grey or studio sweep. If you need a new real background — a beach, an office, a branded wall — that is a different studio job. This page only isolates the subject. Download the cutout and place it yourself, or take it into the editor you already use.

The pass is built for a clean subject cut, including hair and other soft edges, without redrawing the person. Results still depend on the source: a backlit selfie with hair lost in the sky is harder than a product on a plain table. If a strand looks bitten, try a source with more contrast between the subject and the backdrop. The tool will not invent hair that the file never captured.

Use a JPEG, PNG or WebP where the subject is clearly separated from the backdrop. Front light and a simple wall help more than a busy crowd. Avoid files that are already a cutout or already flattened onto a new scene — those stacks are hard to undo. The upload must stay under the size cap shown on the form.

Only upload photos you have the right to edit. Do not use the tool for identity fraud, harassment, or to embarrass anyone. Edits involving minors are out of scope. If you do not have permission to change the image, do not run it through the studio.

No. The four quality pages share one enlarge-and-enhance pass. The background remover is a separate cutout pass that returns transparency. You can run both in sequence — enhance first if the source is soft, then cut — but they are not one button and they are not priced as one run. Each generate is its own spend.

Finished cutouts are saved to your Viralkey asset library, where you can open them beside the source, download a copy, and drop them onto a thumbnail or a slide.
