It is not a generative rewrite: the scene, pose and identity stay the ones in the source. 1× keeps the same pixel dimensions and spends the pass on sharpness and local contrast. 2× doubles the longest edge. 4× quadruples it. None of those chips invent a new crop or a new background. If the source is already huge, stay on 1× — stretching a large file further rarely helps, and the longest edge after scale must stay within the tool's size limit.

It is built not to. The source file is sent through a quality pass, not a prompt-driven edit. Faces, clothes, furniture and the room should remain the ones you uploaded. You may still see a slightly cleaner read of texture and edges. If you need a new expression, a new outfit or a new background, that is a different studio page.

Use a JPEG, PNG or WebP that is in focus enough to have something to recover. Front light helps more than a night-phone snap with heavy digital zoom. Avoid files that are already covered in a beauty filter or a second upscale — those stacks are hard to undo. The upload must stay under the size cap shown on the form.

Only upload photos you have the right to edit. Do not use the tool for identity fraud, harassment, or to embarrass anyone. Edits involving minors are out of scope. If you do not have permission to change the image, do not run it through the studio.

Finished images are saved to your Viralkey asset library, where you can open them beside the source, download a copy, and keep more than one scale from the same upload.
