Erase Overlay Type. Keep the Wall Behind It.

You would post this still if the clock or caption were gone. Name the type. The brick, the sky, and the people should survive. This is the Text chip on the same pass as Magic Eraser. A stock stamp is Watermark there. Isolation is Background Remover.

The caption leaves. The shop sign stays.

The caption leaves. The shop sign stays.

The brief is burned-in type — a timestamp, a story caption, a date stamp. A sign that is part of the place should stay unless you name it on purpose. If the mark is a stock overlay, stay on Watermark in Magic Eraser. If it is a logo badge, that is the Logo chip there.

The fill should be more wall, not new type.

The fill should be more wall, not new type.

The patch comes from the sky or plaster already in frame. You should not get a generated poster. If a shop sign also disappears, your note was too broad — point at the date in the corner. Crop so one string is the obvious leftover.

There is no brush. The chip says text. The optional box says the date in the lower left. Official documents and marks you do not own stay out of scope. If you have not picked a class yet, open Magic Eraser.

Paper damage on a family scan is Photo Restoration first, then come back if a date stamp is still loud. Soft pixels after a crop are Image Enhancer, another generate. Need the subject on alpha? Isolate on Background Remover.

How to Use This Text Remover

  1. Step 1

Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP where the burned-in type is easy to tell apart from real signs in the scene.

  2. Step 2

This page starts on Text. If a shop sign could also match, write which line, then generate. There is no brush to paint.

  3. Step 3

Put the after next to the source. If a street name you needed left too, tighten the sentence and rerun from the original. A torn print belongs on Photo Restoration first.

The clock in the corner

The clock in the corner

The afternoon is right except for the date stamp. Name the corner. The sky should stay the sky. A site overlay sitting on top of the photo is Watermark on Magic Eraser — not this Text door.

A caption that got burned in

A caption that got burned in

The wall is the brief. The caption is not. Reconstruct plaster from what is already around the type. A mug badge is Logo on the same Magic Eraser. Two leftovers means two notes, or two generates.

An old export date

A family scan can be torn and dated. Paper damage is Photo Restoration first. Come back here if a date stamp is still loud after the print is whole. Soft pixels after that are Image Enhancer, another generate.

Every chip still visible

Open Magic Eraser when the class is still fuzzy. Text, watermark, logo, object, and extra person are chips on one pass. This page assumes you already know the leftover is overlay type, not a shop sign you meant to keep.

Frequently Asked Questions

It deletes one named string of burned-in type from a photo you already have and fills the hole from the surrounding picture. You upload one still, stay on Text, and optionally write which line. The scene should stay. It is the Text chip of Magic Eraser, not a cutout and not a stock-stamp job.
